I'm writing to share my experience with this establishment just to get a basic treatment had to wait nearly 3 hours to meet who ever the doctor that was assigned to my token number.
As a foreign expat I hope this message will reach to the #ministryofhealthmaldives to look in to this delay matters and ensure this establish management to take serious about there profession and not to keep there patients this much waitng.its an absurd to wait this much hours for a big hospital to get a basic treatment taking this much of time wasting. TIME MANAGEMENT is very poor.

The services at the hospital are very slow. It is always backed up with around 2000+ patients at any given time. So most patients are forced to show up at the emergency triage/unit.

A visit to the emergency Unit of the Hospital takes about 4-5 hours on average, as only 2 or 3, sometimes only 1 doctor is on duty, and the whole emergency waiting room is filled.

Some departments require more improvement than the others, but non of them are up to the standards which was expected.

However, I am giving 2 stars instead of 1, due to the few nurses, doctors and other service providers in the hospital, who had provided great patient care, with proper respect and professionalism.

A very poor hospital and service. I had a pain and went for treatment. But the suffering of the man was unaccountable to the officials working there. In my abroad life.

Good Doctors and Nurses.
I needed dental services, and I received it promptly and professionally.
Other inpatient service were remarkable. Outstanding doctors and Nurses. Fees for all services was very reasonable. My immense thanks to all the medical staff at IGMH.

Best hospital in Male with quality service but sometimes, there has a long qeue on consulting doctors. So for consulting doctors faster, we have to take appointments nearly 3 - 4 days early. Otherwise, time waste will occur due to this long qeue, because many people are consulting doctors and getting treatments from this hospital on every day.

Thank you Dr Aishath Sofa Moosa and Nurses and admin staffs.

2020-06-06 I wanted to say few words about the current situation in Maldives and recommend kind hearted and amazing, lovely doctors and nurses and admin staffs.

Now we have lockdown in Maldives and quarenteen in Male, Hulhumale and Vilingili.

Now we can't go any hospital without the permission of the police and health protection agency.so I took the permission from hospital.when I went hospital. Out side there is
Paramedic EMAS team with full PPE, they are checking each and every person's temperature before entering the hospital.

I have notice that they are super super tired but still from their face I can see full of smile. So, kind and helpful.

Next I went to the doctor's room and she was also with full PPE. And she great me and ask me to sit. Her name is Aishath SOFA Moosa. She is the most kind hearted person I ever seen. No words to explain. She is very professional doctor with lots of knowledge.clearly she explained me what I have to do, to recover, she have check my medical history and asked me what to eat and what I can't eat:) also, I have done many tests accordingly.

Highly recommended IGMH and,

Thank you somuch Dr Aishath sofa moosa for your help.
